The Board of Director of the Iranian American Society of New York is pleased to announce the establishment of a formal partnership with the Nasser Sharify Foundation (NSF). Both organization's charter and mission are of such close complement that we believe working together will enable both organizations to successfully promote Iranian culture and Persian literature, in organizing programs and publications that reflect and promote our mutual goals, and provide an increased variety of programs and benefits to our members.
To initiate our collaboration, we are pleased to announce that the IAS will co-sponsor with the NSF an annual Nasser Sharify Poetry Contest. The winner will be honored at a formal event and will be awarded a scholarship of $500.00. Further information and rules for the contest will be announced in the coming weeks.
We will be meeting in the coming weeks to discuss a joint plan of action for programs, events, promotions, fund-raising, publications, and other projects of mutual interest. |
